Se uma imagem de um morango brotando faz você enlouquecer - você não está sozinho. Um fenômeno científico chamado tripofobia explica por que ver aglomerados de buracos pode perturbar as pessoas.
A 10 de janeiro, o autor AmoosingCows na comunidade Reddit postou uma foto de um morango ainda na videira de onde estavam brotando minúsculas folhas verdes das sementes em sua pele externa.
Um dos tópicos de resposta em comentário no post discute precisamente por que esta imagem é perturbadora, e atribui a natureza "perturbadora" da mesma à tripofobia. Há até mesmo uma comunidade inteira dedicada ao medo de buracos no Reddit - / r / trypophobia.
"Até 15 por cento das pessoas (18 por cento das mulheres e 11 por cento dos homens) ficam visceralmente perturbadas depois de olharem para imagens de aglomerados buracos, de acordo com uma pesquisa sobre a condição coloquialmente conhecida como tripofobia", informou a Business Insider em 2015.
"Estes conjuntos de buracos são comuns na natureza, por exemplo: favos de mel ou aglomerados de bolhas de sabão". Embora as imagens de morango não mostrem verdadeiros buracos (é mais sobre buracos que são preenchidos inesperadamente por folhas), o efeito pode ser o mesmo.
A germinação de sementes em frutas como visto na foto do morango é uma mutação chamada vivíparo. "Vivíparo ocorre com freqüência em algumas plantas, mas apenas intermitentemente em outras, como o morango", explica um artigo informativo em StrawberryPlants.org.
"As plantas vivíparas produzem sementes que germinam imediatamente quando ainda estão unidas à planta.Portanto, os aquênios (comumente chamadas sementes de morango) estão realmente germinando diretamente sobre o morango na imagem apresentada.
